Groton Police Charge 2 Local Men In Car Fire Arson
Groton Police have charged two local men, Christopher Czekala, 20, of Mystic and Nehemiah Knight, 21, of Groton, with arson.
GROTON, CT—After spreading a flammable liquid on the car, police said, the two men took off. Now, both have been arrested and charged in what police said was an arson.
Groton Town police arrested Christopher Czekala, 20, of Mystic and Nehemiah Knight, 21, of Groton in connection with the intentionally set fire at a Tacoma Court residence. the owner of the car was inside the house at the time.
Knight was charged with third-degree arson, reckless burning and conspiracy to commit third degree arson. Czekala was charged with conspiracy to commit third degree arson. Knight has a current case in a New London court but the files are "statutorily sealed."
