Groton Police K9 Partners Honored

Groton Police K9 team of officer Shawn Lisee and his partner Ace, were awarded 1st runner up for The Daniel Wasson Memorial Canine Award.

GROTON, CT—Groton Town Police K9 officer Shawn Lisee and his partner Ace, were awarded 1st runner up for The Daniel Wasson Memorial Canine Award.

Lisee and Ace were honored based on the team's successful track record and apprehension of two bank robbery suspects on August 1, 2018.

As was reported at the time by The Day, two men robbed the Navy Federal Credit Union that hot summer day. Officers from Groton, Waterford, and New London with Connecticut State Police established a perimeter after the suspects fled into a nearby wooded area.
