GROTON, CT – Groton Town police will support the Connecticut Cancer Foundation next month by participating in their first "No-Shave November," a campaign aimed at cancer awareness and providing funds for those affected by the disease.

Police said on Facebook the department will be teaming up with the foundation to support their mission, and 100 percent of the money raised will help Connecticut cancer patients pay their basic living expenses, such as rent, mortgage and utilities, as they go through treatment.

Police encourage local businesses and residents to help with fundraising. Visit the Town of Groton Police Department Facebook page for more information, including how to make donations.
