Groton Police Provide Update On Missing Person Case

Police said articles of clothing and a cell phone have been located as the search for a man reported missing nearly two weeks ago continues.

GROTON, CT — Police have provided an update regarding a man who went missing nearly two weeks ago.

Charles Henry Bourgeois Jr., 34, was reported missing on Oct. 11 and has not been located. He was last seen at about 8 p.m., Oct. 10, after visiting friends in the City of Groton.

Bourgeois did not return to his home and his family and friends have not heard from him.

The City of Groton Police Department posted on Facebook to "assure the public" that they have been active in attempting to find Bourgeois.

Police wrote that they have entered him into a national database as a missing person and listed him as the subject of a Silver Alert.

Police also interviewed people he had contact with and conducted searches using a K-9, drone, marine vessels, and divers in the area of Birch Plain Creek.

"This has been a multi-day activity on the part of the search teams," police wrote. "Articles of clothing as well as a cell phone have been located and the search continues."

Bourgeois is about 6'4” tall and weighs 225 pounds. He was last seen wearing a Nike hoodie and black Adidas shirt with black sweatpants with a BMW logo and tan shoes.
