Groton Police Search For Suspects In Walmart Register Theft
Town of Groton police are searching for two men accused of stealing two register tills from a Walmart, according to a report.
GROTON, CT — Town of Groton police are attempting to identify a suspect in an incident at Walmart on Sunday, according to a police Facebook post. The two men are accused of stealing two cash register tills from the Gold Star Highway store containing a total of around $7,000, according to The New London Day.
The incident was reported at 2:06 p.m. Still photos and video showed the two men approached a store clerk, then went behind the counter to remove the two tills, according to The New London Day.
They exited and drove off in a white Chevrolet Silverado, which police later found abandoned at a nearby motel.
