Groton Police Train with U.S. Coast Guard, Area Emergency Personnel

The training covered multiple aspects of marine emergencies, with attention paid to search and rescue.

This morning [Oct. 9] firefighters from the Goshen Fire Department participated in a joint training with the U.S. Coast Guard, Town of Groton Police and Norwich Police. The training covered many aspects of marine emergencies specifically search and rescue. Training with other local resources better prepares us for when a major marine emergency occurs and interagency operations are crucial.
