Groton Public Schools Hires Communications Coordinator

Groton is using $20,000 from a federal grant to cover the cost.

GROTON, CT – Groton Public Schools has hired a part-time communications coordinator to promote the schools and their programs, The Day reported.

Rebecca Beyus, 42, started the job on Spet. 21, The Day reported. She will work 20 hours a week.

Groton is using $20,000 from a federal school promotion and professional development grant to cover the cost, according to The Day. The school board hopes the addition will inform parents and the public on new initiatives and programs the school is holding.
