Due to the frigid temperatures, schools across CT are delaying start times. Read on for the local forecast.
Groton Public Schools are under a 90-minute delay Thursday, Jan. 8, according to the Groton Schools website.

- Tonight, Jan. 7: Mostly clear, with a low around 2. Wind chill values between -5 and -15. Blustery, with a northwest wind 16 to 20 mph.
- Thursday, Jan. 8: Sunny, with a high near 21. Wind chill values between -5 and -15. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph.
- Thursday Night: A slight chance of snow showers after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to near 20 by 10 p.m., then rising to around 28 during the remainder of the night. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Southwest wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Friday: A chance of snow showers before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 36. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. Breezy, with a west wind 18 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
