Groton Town Police Conduct Alcohol Compliance Checks

GROTON, CT — Police assisted the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Division with alcohol compliance checks on establishments in the downtown Mystic section of Groton last week.

"Liquor Control Division Agents checked business permits, liquor licenses, conducted spot checks of suspected underage patrons, and provided educational resources and discussion on mitigating incidents of underage drinking," according to a police statement.

The following businesses were checked:

• Chapter One Food and Drink, 32 W Main St, Mystic, CT
• Captain Daniel Packer Inn, 32 Water St, Mystic, CT
• Friar Tuck’s Tavern, 12 Water St, Mystic, CT
• Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, 12 Water St, Mystic, CT
• Harp and Hound, 4 Pearl St, Mystic, CT
• Pizzetta. 7 Water St, Mystic, CT

All the businesses were compliant with regulatory inspections during the checks, according to a police statement.
