GROTON, CT — Police assisted the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Division with alcohol compliance checks on establishments in the downtown Mystic section of Groton last week.

"Liquor Control Division Agents checked business permits, liquor licenses, conducted spot checks of suspected underage patrons, and provided educational resources and discussion on mitigating incidents of underage drinking," according to a police statement.

All the businesses were compliant with regulatory inspections during the checks, according to a police statement.
