Groton Vandals Destroy Park Benches
Vandals threw a dozen park benches into the sea Saturday night.
GROTON, CT - Police said that vandals threw a dozen park benches into the water and rocks at Eastern Point Beach Saturday night, The New London Day reported. Police were informed of the incident Sunday morning and said that many of the benches will need to be repaired or replaced.
Some of the benches were memorials paid for by private donors.
