Groton Woman Arrested on Prostitution Charges Connected to Massage Therapy Business: Police

GROTON, CT – Police arrested a woman Tuesday on charges of prostitution and practicing massage therapy without a license, The Day reported.

Sumei Hou, 35, was found by police and members of the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force to have probable cause that she was engaged in prostitution, The Day reported. Hou was arrested and given a Wednesday court date.

Police said warrants were issued for Hou after a month-long investigation, according to The Day. They also learned she had been practicing massage therapy without a license and was the business’ sole employee.
