Groton Wood-N-Tap To Be Chain's 11th Pub/Restaurant

GROTON, CT — The new Wood-N-Tap pub and restaurant planned for Groton represents the chain's 10th in Connecticut and 11th overall.

The local Planning and Zoning Commission on July 9 endorsed the latest Wood-N-Tap for a parcel on 117 Long Hill Road. A construction timetable has not yet been released.

The plans call for an upgraded restaurant building with a patio that will take the place of a former Ninety-Nine restaurant.

The strategy is to use the existing structure of the building while updating the exterior

appearance and adding additional indoor and outdoor seating areas on the southwest side of
the building, according to the site plan.

The parking lot will feature electric vehicle charging stations and "clearer circulation throughout the site," according to the site plan.
