Groton's Electric Boat Awarded $7.7 Million In Federal Funds
General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. was awarded more than $7.7 million by the U.S. Department of Defense.

GROTON, CT — General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. was awarded more than $7.7 million by the U.S. Department of Defense, according to a statement. The project is to provide U.S. Trident II Strategic Weapon System Trident Trainer Facility kits and engineering support services.
Two-thirds of the work on the project will be done at Electric Boat's Groton campus. The remaining third will be split up between the company's Kings Bay, GA and Cape Canaveral, FL sites.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
