Groton's Electric Boat To Hire More Than 3,000 Workers In 2022
The company expects that half the positions will be filled in Connecticut, according to a report.
GROTON, CT — Electric Boat is seeking to hire more than 3,000 workers this year with half filling positions in Connecticut, The New London Day reported. The projected number of hires will surpass Electric Boat's 2,533 new employees brought on last year.
The company will also be making hires at its Quonset Point, RI location.
Hiring for the Groton shipyard is increasing up to support the company's engineering overhaul of the USS Hartford, which arrived in Groton in June.
