Groton's 'Henny Penny Bandit' Pleads Guilty
Foye accepted a plea offer that greatly reduced his sentence.

A Groton man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a string of robberies from April.
An article at theday.com said Timothy J. Foye, sometimes called the “Henny Penny bandit,” accepted a plea offer that will result in six years in prison along with four years of probation.
Foye used a handgun to rob the Henny Penny on Route 12 in Groton April 2. Two days later, he tried to rob a gas station but was not successful. The same day, the robbed the Henny Penny on Roosevelt Avenue in Mystic.

He robbed two other Henny Penny locations and finally, by April 9, capped his crime spree by robbing the People’s United Bank at the Groton Stop & Shop.
