Guilty Plea By Groton Man In Hartford Homicide
Luis Quinones-Aponte, 34, of Groton pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit first-degree manslaughter in connection with a 2018 homicide.

HARTFORD, CT—Luis Quinones-Aponte of Groton pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit first-degree manslaughter with a firearm, according to judicial records. He agreed to a plea deal in connection with a 2018 Hartford killing.
Quinones-Aponte, 34, is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 21. He faces 30 years in prison, though most of the sentence will be suspended after he serves seven and a half years in prison and five years on probation, the Hartford Courant reported.
Initially charged with murder in the killing of 39-year-old Eduardo Anes in Hartford on Feb. 24, 2018, a witness who said Quinones-Aponte shot at him could not say if he shot Anes.
