'Happy Tail' for Dog Whose Owner Passed Away

Zoe came to Friday's Rescue Foundation of Groton from Mass. and was dropped at the pound with a request for her to be euthanized.

Grab the Kleenex.... Happy Tails for ZOE!

You’ve come a long way, Baby! Zoe was adopted yesterday by a very sweet family in Ashaway, RI! Zoe came to us from MA and was dumped at the pound with a request for her to be euthanized. “Tempermental” they termed her. Her elderly owner had passed away and the adult children of the family had no interest in caring for her and thought putting her down was the best way to go.... Friday’s Rescue Foundation said, “Uh, NO!” And now Zoe is with her forever family... here are a few words after her first night.

“Little Zoe spent her first day exploring. She picked out her favorite spot on the sofa. Oh, yes, she loves cushy things like a big feathered pillow! She snuggled between her new mommy and daddy; adjusted well and had a good night’s sleep.

This little shadow follows mommy around and; lays at mommy’s feet when working. She also loves to be picked up and; is a champion face licker! Imagine that! This little girl is also goofy, rolling her face on the blanket and making funny noises. What a ham!

Big brother watches in awe; after all this girl can take the stairs like a champ! She is trying to master bed climbining. Her first two attempts were too precious. She is SO smart, and found it easier by using the trunk at the foot of the bed. VOILA! She made it!

Little Zoe will have a new name too...Lilly Elizabeth Grace. She, like her big sister (RIP), will be a little Princess, with her own wardrobe and tea party! Dollies approved!” Zoe - now Lilly Elizabeth Grace’s Mom!
