Groton Parents, Do You Have A Four-Year-Old in the House?

Groton's district-wide pre-kindergarten program looks to screen 4-year-olds.

Any child who will be 4 on or before January 1, 2014 is encouraged to be screened for Pre-Kindergarten.

The screening process is used to determine eligibility.  Children scoring within a target range will be selected for the program.  The goal of this program is to provide eligible children with an opportunity to acquire appropriate readiness skills needed for a successful kindergarten experience.

Children with strong skills in the areas of readiness, language, and socialization, act as peer role models in the Integrated Special Needs Preschool program.  A lottery process for the program selects children with eligible screening scores. Peer role models must be toilet trained.
