Suspects ID'd in Stolen Helicopter Case [UPDATE]
A toy helicopter from a Groton store went missing. A suspect allegedly tried to steal another one the next day.
The Town of Groton Police Department is investigating the case of a stolen remote-control helicopter from Lee’s Toy and Hobby in Groton.
On Tuesday, Oct. 13, police released the second and third photograph in the above gallery, of a suspect in the case. The man in the second and third photo visited Lee’s Toy and Hobby on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and allegedly stole a remote-control helicopter.
“He returned the following day and attempted to steal another helicopter,” the Town of Groton Police Department said via Facebook. “He is described as being approximately 6’ tall with a thin build. The suspect also has a UPC barcode style tattoo at the base of his neck.”

Police identified a person-of-interest in the case and released his photograph on Thursday, Oct. 15. The photo in question is the first photograph in the above gallery.
“We are attempting to identify the [above] pictured subject,” police said. “He is a person of interest in this investigation of a larceny from Lee’s Toy & Hobby.”

The store is located at 935 Poquonnock Rd., Route 1, in Groton.
Anyone who can identify the men pictured or who have information regarding the alleged theft are asked to call Ofc. Baudro at 860-441-6712 and reference case #15-2805-OF.
