Hollywood Famous Submarine Returns Sailors Home to Groton for Holidays
An attack submarine that appeared in the movie "The Hunt for Red October" returned sailors home for the holidays.

GROTON, CT - A submarine of Hollywood fame returned sailors home to Groton on Tuesday in time for the holidays, Fox 61 reported.
A U.S. Navy attack submarine that appeared in the movie “The Hunt for Red October” returned to its homeport in Connecticut from its last scheduled deployment, according to Fox 61. Dubbed the “USS Dallas,” the sub has spent 35 years in the fleet.
The submarine was commissioned in 1981 and was scheduled to inactivated sooner, Fox 61 reported. The Navy extended its service life to help meet attack submarine demands.
