A home health aide is accused of stealing about $30,000 by using an elderly resident's credit card, according to a report.
GROTON, CT — A former home health aide has been charged with stealing $30,000 from a from an elderly Groton resident, The Day of New London reported.
Yamilka Vaquero-Perez appeared in New London Superior Court on Tuesday and rejected a plea bargain that would have sent her to prison for 18 months.
Vaquero-Perez was arrested in 2023 and was accused of using a resident at an assisted living facility's credit card for her personal expenses.
