Human Services Helps Seniors Enjoy Summer Bounty
For seniors living on fixed low incomes, there are coupons available for local farmers' markets!

For many of the elderly in Groton living on rigidly fixed low incomes, fresh fruits and vegetables are an often-unaffordable commodity. And in the summertime, when the locally grown fruits and vegetables are so ripe and abundant, it’s hard to see so many go without.
Groton Human Services wants to help ensure that they do not.
Now, seniors 60 and older (or disabled under 60 and living in subsidized housing) with incomes of $21,257 for a single or $28,694 for a couple, are eligible for a free farmers’ market coupon book worth $18.
