Job Hunters' Workshops at the Groton Public Library
Learn the Art of the Interview in this free career building workshop at the Groton Public Library

“The Art of the Interview and Informational Interviewing,” the second workshop in a series on job hunting and career building, will be presented at the Groton Public Library on Thursday, May 21, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Informational Interviewing is the skill of connecting with and interviewing skilled professionals in your desired career field. Interviewing is the skill of being able to successfully show your preparedness and capabilities to an employer in order to obtain employment. Learning both skills can give the job seeker a competitive edge in the job hunt.
Ashon and Dannika Avent, the presenters, have a wealth of knowledge and experience in leadership, education, professional development, human resources and business management. They also have had extensive training in leadership and management at Harvard (Ashon) and Yale (Dannika) Universities. The Avents are Eastern Connecticut State University alumni and owners of The Main Avent Group, LLC.
