Man Charged With Assault, Other Charges In Groton: Police

A man faces a litany of charges following his arrest in Groton on Monday, according to police.

GROTON, CT — A man was arrested in Groton in connection with an assault, according to City of Groton police.

Police responded to a call at 5:17 p.m. Monday at a Groton home. Sean Walsh, 26, of Taftville, was arrested.

Walsh had an active arrest warrant for his involvement in an earlier assault as well as a second arrest warrant for theft of alcohol.

There were also two active warrants out for his arrest for violation of probation, police said.

Walsh was charged with first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault-aid by others, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace, false statement, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and two counts of violation of probation.

He was held on a total of $295,000 court set cash/surety bond and scheduled to appear in court Monday.
