Man Charged With Choking In Groton: Report

A man has been charged with choking another man unconscious and using homophobic slurs in an attack earlier this month.

GROTON, CT — A New London man has been charged with using homophobic slurs against another man and choking him until he was unconscious outside a Groton grocery store last month, according to The New London Day. Chris Archuleta, 38, of 35 Cape Ann Court, was charged with first-degree intimidation based on bios or bigotry, second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, and second-degree breach of peace.

Archuleta is accused of attacking a stranger Oct. 8 as he was leaving the Big Y at 995 Poquonnock Road.
