Naval Submarine Base New London Recognizes Domestic Violence Awareness Month
The SUBASE Fleet and Family Support Center will offer the following activities throughout October 2015.

SUBASE family and friends, October is domestic violence awareness month. This year’s theme is “Together we are one voice against domestic violence.”
The SUBASE Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) will be offering the following activities throughout the month:

- Oct. 5-31: Silent witness silhouettes will be on display at Dealey Center to honor the 13 Connecticut domestic violence victims killed in 2014.
- Oct. 13-Civilians are encouraged to wear purple to show support for victims and survivors of intimate partner violence.
- Oct. 16-From 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.-7 p.m. there will be a bowling event at the SUBASE bowling alley to knock out domestic violence.
- Oct. 25-From 1 p.m.-3 p.m. the 3rd annual Power of Purple Hot Cider Walk and Rally will be held at Eastern Point Beach, go to https://www.safefuturesct.org for registration information.
