New Groton Technical High School to Begin Construction in 2017
The $134.9 million school will replace Ella T. Grasso Technical High School.

GROTON, CT – The state is building a $134.9 million school to replace Ella T. Grasso Technical High School, The Day reported.
The school will be specifically aimed at training future Electric Boat employees, according to The Day. Construction is slated to begin January 2017.
Among trades that will be offered at the school is welding, something sorely needed for Electric Boat, The Day reported. Electric Boat expects to have 18,000 employees turning out both nuclear attack and ballistic missile submarines by 2030.
