For Monday, May 27th, 2019 - Memorial Day Parade and Picnic
The Noank village area will basically shut down circa 9:30 AM as the parade assembles and will start to reopen slowly circa 10:30 AM. Advise your guests and delivery vendors to get into the village no later than 9 AM, or to wait until after 11 AM. The parade assembles on Church Street, the Noank Baptist Church parking lot, and Main Street at Pearl Street and Carson's Store. Weather permitting, the parade starts at 10 AM.
The usual route starts on Main St., goes South on Pearl St. past the No Anchor Market and Universal Liquors, West on Chester St., North on High St., Right on Sylvan St. and past the Historical Society Museum, across Main St onto Ward Ave., past the Noank Service Station and Firehouse, left on Mosher St & the RR Bridge, left on Elm St., right on Prospect Hill Rd., right into Noank Cemetary for remembrances, then back out onto Elm St., North on Elm St. to the Memorial Triangle at Brook St. for further remembrances and the end of the formal parade.

By that time, weather permitting, the American Legion will serve a picnic luncheon starting at 11 AM in the Village Park near the Firehouse. Donations are welcomed.
