Obituary: Alan G. Snow, Sr., 83, Of Groton
Mr. Snow was retired from the Electric Boat Company after over 40 years of service as a tank testing technician.

Alan G. Snow, Sr. 83, of Groton, formerly of Ledyard passed away on Friday January 19, 2018 at Groton Regency. He was born on September 30, 1934 in New Gloucester, ME to the late Royal and Lena (Bryant) Snow.
Alan and his wife, the former Bernice Fowler, were married for over 61 years. They married on February 18, 1956 in Groton.

Mr. Snow was retired from the Electric Boat Company in Groton after over 40 years of service, retiring as a tank testing technician.
In addition to his wife Bernice in Groton, Alan is survived by two sons Alan G. Snow, Jr. of Gales Ferry, Roger Snow of Norwich, one brother Stephen Snow of Windham and two grandsons Joshua and Oliver Snow.

He had also been predeceased by two sisters Faith Hitchcock, Rosemary Michaud and four brothers Donald, David, Paul and Thomas Snow.
The family thanks the caring staff at Groton Regency and Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care during his illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Monday January 29 at the Byles- Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street. His burial will follow in the Ledyard Center Cemetery, Rt. 117 in Ledyard.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be directed to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
