Obituary: Bessie Boiselle Lamb Thomas, 90 of Groton
Bessie had worked for over 42 years in the Southeastern Connecticut area as a bus driver.

Bessie Boiselle Lamb Thomas, 90 of Groton, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.
She was born on July 1, 1926 in Groton the daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Mildred E. Paige Boiselle.Mrs. Thomas was married to the late Darrell D. Thomas, Jr. on January 2, 1966 in Old Lyme. He passed away on March 24, 2013.

Bessie had worked for over 42 years in the Southeastern Connecticut area as a bus driver; and was an active member of the Groton Lodge of Elks.
Her survivors include a daughter Carol Bond of Florida, two sons Martin Lamb of Groton, Darrell Thomas of Danielson, two sisters Janice Humes and Sheila Church both of Groton and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had also been predeceased by a son Thomas Lamb, a brother Ray Boiselle and a sister Marion Mather.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Groton Lodge of Elks, 70 Shennecossett Rd. in Groton from 12 to 4 pm Sunday February 12, 2017. Her burial in the Jordan Cemetery in Waterford will be private and there are to be no visiting hours.
Byles- Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St. is assisting her family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers her family has requested donations be directed to the Elks National Foundation, 2750 Lakeview Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60614.
