Obituary: Bruno Timpano, 88, of Groton
Bruno was an Army veteran of the Korean War and he had worked as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Groton.

Bruno Timpano age 88 of Groton passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Nardo Di Pace, Italy on January 14, 1928 the son of Rocco and Cecilia Fazio Timpano. Bruno came to America where he was married to Rose Tassone in Philadelphia and then they moved to Groton. Rose passed away on August 1 of this year.

Bruno was an Army veteran of the Korean War and he had worked as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Groton.
He is survived by his brother, Salvatore Timpano and his wife Lauretta of Groton and his sister, Josephine Cavallaro of Montreal, Canada and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning, November 3, 2016 at 10:30 at Sacred Heart Church, Groton. Interment with Military Honors will be in Colonel Ledyard Cemetery. Visiting hour will be on Wednesday from 4 until 7 o’clock at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St. Donations in his memory may be directed to Sacred Heart Church, 56 Sacred Heart Dr., Groton, CT 06340.
