Obituary: Clarence W. Bradley, 93, of Groton
Clarence was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard serving in the Pacific. He then served with the Navy reserve.

Clarence W. Bradley, 93, of Groton passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Groton Regency. He was born in Mystic on April 25, 1924 the son of Claude and Lillian Gracey Bradley.
He was the widower of Lydia Matson Bradley.

Clarence was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard serving in the Pacific. He then served with the Navy reserve.
He was a carpenter working with the Carpenters Local, working on many local projects including the dormitories and steeple of the chapel at the Coast Guard Academy and additions at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.

He was a member and former deacon of the Third Baptist Church of N. Stonington, a charter member of the N. Stonington Lion’s Club and a member of the Mystic VFW.
He is survived by a son, James Bradley and wife Bonita of Marlborough, MA a daughter, Ellen Balazy and husband Keith of Ft. Myers, FL, a son in law Roger Dent eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter Jackie Dent.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic. A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday at the Third Baptist Church, Rocky Hollow Road, N. Stonington. There are no visiting hours.
