Obituary: Frances T. Larkin Lowry, 80, Of Groton

Frances T. Larkin Lowry, 80, of Groton passed away Dec. 8, 2017 at the Fairview in Groton. She was born on July 23, 1937 in Bridgeport, CT a daughter to the late William and Ann Price Larkin.

Mrs. Lowry married the late H. Daniel Lowry on Oct. 14, 1961 in Bridgeport. He passed away on Dec. 18, 1999.

Frances was a long- time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Gales Ferry; and had devoted her life to the care and well-being of her husband and children.

Her survivors include eight children Daniel P. Lowry (Lisa) of Prospect, Michael T. Lowry of Groton, Linda F. Schrock (Robb) of Yorktown, VA, Kathleen R. Rowe also of Yorktown, VA, Patrick J. Lowry (Nancy) of Waterford, Donna J. Reddy (Mike) of Groton, Kevin S. Lowry of Pawcatuck, Colleen M. Phill (Justin) of Hampton, VA, a sister Harriet O’Donnell of Bridgeport, CT, 14 grandchildren, Zach, Abi, Andrew, Meagan, Lauren, Adam, Connor, Ryan, Madison, Kyle, Nathan, Kendall, Luke and Sean.

Mrs. Lowry had also been predeceased by a granddaughter Jennifer Lowry and her siblings Marie, Agnes, Margaret and Billy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 13 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Rt. 12 in Gales Ferry. Her burial will follow in the Colonel Ledyard Cemetery in Groton.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home (310 Thames St.)

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to either the Fairview Resident’s Fund, 235 Lestertown Rd, Groton or to the Alzheimer’s Assoc, CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd, Suite 48, Southington, CT 06489.
