Helen L. Tift, 86, of Groton died Friday, November 4, 2016 at New London Rehab in Waterford. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leroy E. Tift Jr. who died in 2009. She worked as an Aide in the lunchroom of Fitch Senior High School for many years.

She is survived by her three children; Catherine Carpenter of Waterford, Rae Brooks Barton of Waterford and Leroy Tift III of Groton, as well as 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many friends who will all miss her. We love you Mom, and you will be missed but never forgotten.

A private graveside service will be conducted in the Middletown Veterans Cemetery.
