Obituary: Jeanne E. Schneider, 90, of Groton

GROTON, CT - Jeanne E. Schneider, 90, of Groton, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at L+M Hospital in New London.

She was born on June 19, 1927 in Woodhaven, New York, the daughter of Fred and Irma (Rothenhoefer) Frey.

Jeanne married Thomas A. Schneider on June 30, 1948, in Woodhaven NY and they spent 61 years together until his passing in 2009.

She is survived by her three sons, Christopher Schneider, of Hanover, Mark Schneider, of Clearwater, Florida, and Stephen Schneider, of Seattle, Washington; her daughter Mary LaForce, of Groton; daughter-in-law Linda Schneider, of Groton; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son Paul Schneider.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 22, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church (56 Sacred Heart Drive, Groton). There are no calling hours and burial will be private.
