Obituary: Louise A. Paige, 72, of Groton

Louise A. (Scampone) Paige, 72, of Groton peacefully passed away Saturday January 21, 2017 at the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London.

She was born October 2, 1944, in the Bronx Borough of New York City, to Dominick and Donata (Tocci) Scampone. Louise married Richard E. Paige on October 11, 1986, and resided in Groton as a homemaker for the past 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by sister-in-laws Betty L. Pease of Northwood, NH and Valerie M. Robinson of Waterford, CT, cousin Jean Herman of Torrington CT, and multiple nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday January 26, 2017 at the Colonel Ledyard Cemetery, 240 Mitchell Street in Groton. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Louise’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
