Obituary: Ludwig S. Pulaski III, 73, of Groton

He retired from IBM in 1992 and had a successful career as a consultant.

GROTON - Ludwig S. Pulaski III, 73, of Groton, passed away on March 14, 2017.

He was born in Norwich, CT, September 8, 1943, the son of Celeste and Louis Pulaski. “Ski” graduated from NFA in 1961, and from the University of Vermont in 1978.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1964 to 1968, primarily stationed in Alaska. He retired from IBM in 1992, and had a successful career as a consultant, specializing in cleanrooms and clean manufacturing practices until 2000, when he retired permanently to enjoy his hobbies of boating and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris, two sons, Ludwig and Kenneth, and their respective spouses, Andre and Susan, two grandchildren, Cameron and Madison, and his sister Barbara Sheeley, nephews William Spicer IV, David Spicer, and Allan Spicer, and nieces Beth Spicer, Nancy Wallace, Susan McAdams and Mary Hollis.

The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Sunday, March 26th at the Groton Congregational Church, Monument St., Groton. Private burial will be in Starr Burying Ground. Calling hours will be held 3 – 5 PM, Saturday March 25th at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton, CT 06340.
