Vivian (Ridenour) Venditti, 90, of Groton passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Groton Regency. She was born on November 17, 1927 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Pearl and Lillian Nance Lucas.
She graduated from Springfield High School in 1946. She worked for Garfield Belt in New London for 18 years and then was an aide on the Groton School Bus for 10 years.

She lived in Mystic from 1961 until moving to Groton in 1976 to the High Rock Trailer Park then to Poquonnock Village in 2005. Vivian belonged to the Mystic VFW Ladies Aux3263 and Groton Emblem Club 464.
She married Harold Leopard in 1947 and had one daughter Victoria Keplinger (Steve), of South Charleston, Ohio. She married James C. Ridenour in 1950 and had a daughter Judith Ann Bryant (Donald), of Venice, FL, a son James David of California, and another son Earnest (Anita) of Lisbon, CT.

She married Alfred Venditti in 1980 and had one stepdaughter Judy Cavaliere, (Bill), of FL, and four stepsons Frank Venditti, of FL, the late Alfred Venditti, (Beverly), of Coral Springs, FL, Jay Venditti, (Lori), of East Lyme, James Venditti, (Amy), of Moodus Ct. She has left 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home (310 Thames Street). A visiting hour will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic.
In lieu of flowers donations in Vivian’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Groton Emblem Club 464 for scholarship (PO Box 783, Groton, CT 06340).
