Officer Injured While Breaking Up Fight At Groton School: Report

Police said three students were arrested.

GROTON, CT — Police said an officer was injured when he attempted to break up a fight in a hallway at Fitch Senior High School between two 17-year-old students Monday, NBC Connecticut reported. Police said the officer hit his head against a wall as he tried to separate the students.

According to NBC Connecticut, police said both students were arrested and released to their guardians. An 18-year-old student who was allegedly involved before the officer arrived was also arrested, police said. (To sign up for Groton breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
