“After working and living in Pennyslvania for 30 years, it’s great to celebrate the anniversary of my return to Groton by being Grand Marshal in the July 4th parade,” Burfoot said. “July 4th is also my wedding anniversary, so this year will be doubly meaningful.”
The 2014 parade was canceled due to inclement weather and the town is excited to bring back this holiday tradition. “The community was very disappointed that we had to cancel last year,” said Jerry Lokken, Manager of Recreation Services. “We are looking forward to putting on another great parade this year.”
