Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Bus On I-95 In Groton Identified
A pedestrian and six passengers on the bus were taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation, according to reports.
GROTIN, CT — A 38-year-old Colchester man was fatally struck by a bus on Interstate 95 northbound Saturday morning, state police said.
A bus was travelling northbound on I-95 northbound in the right lane just near Exit 89 in Groton, state police said.
David G. Voebel, of Thornridge Drive, was struck by the bus at 8:22 a.m. and he was taken to L and M Hospital in New London, where he died as a result of his injuries, state police. Several passengers on the bus were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
