Pilot Lands Plane Safely In Groton After Issuing Distress Call
A pilot was able to land his plane safely in Groton after issuing a distress call.

GROTON, CT - A pilot was able to land his plane safely in Groton after issuing a distress call due to the aircraft's flaps being stuck, the New London Day reported. The emergency call was issued shortly after 5 p.m. late Thursday afternoon, police said.
Police said the pilot was flying a a turbo prop single engine aircraft when he reported having trouble with the the flaps, according to the New London Day. He was subsequently able to land the plane successfully at the Groton New London Airport, police said.
Police said the plane was landed without issue, the New London Day reported.
