Police Arrest 3 In Groton BB Gun Fight: Report

GROTON, CT - Groton police recently arrested three men charged in connection with a fight, the New London Day reported. Police said the arrest came after one suspect shot another suspect with a BB gun.

Police responded to the fight after witnesses reported Michael A. Smith, 22, had shot Michael J. West, 26, and his car with a BB gun, according to the New London Day. The fight ensued after West and another man, 27-year old Brian Wright, confronted Smith. (To sign up for Groton breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Police said officers located a stun gun and a BB gun in Smith’s car, the New London Day reported. The incident occurred Friday on Indian Avenue about 10:30 p.m.
