UPDATE: Police Seek Help Locating Missing 14-Year-Old Girl
Nyah Hilliard, 14, was reported missing by Groton City Police on Oct. 18 and has yet to be found. Police are pleading for any information.

GROTON CITY, CT — When last seen, Nyah Hilliard, 14, was carrying a backpack and wearing a red sweatshirt.
The child has been missing since Oct. 18 police said and they're asking the public for help.

"The City of Groton Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a missing juvenile, Nyah Hilliard. Nyah is described as a 14 year old female, approximately 5’8”, 120 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Nyah was last seen wearing a red Nike sweatshirt, light blue jeans, a black backpack and white slides. Please contact GCPD with any information at 860-445-2451."
Update: On Oct. 25, with Hilliard missing for more than a week, the city police Facebook page, more information has been shared and police are hoping anyone who knows where she is will come forward.

"Sadly the juvenile in this case, NYAH HILLIARD, still has not been located nor returned home. We are very concerned about her. Our most recent information is that she has been seen recently in the City of New London and is with a male who is a boyfriend that we have not definitively identified.
We also have developed information that she may have been in the City of Norwich recently with male friends reputed to have connections to the City of New York.
Any information on her whereabouts can be forwarded to either Officer Jason Hauptman, Youth Officer Scott Lesage or our Detective Division. They can be reached at our in house dispatch at 860-445-2451.
We are seeking to ensure her well being and safety, and bring this matter to a successful and safe conclusion.
If anyone has knowledge as to her whereabouts or who she is staying with you can call any of the above and let us know, as we have stated we are very concerned for her and want to ensure that she is safe.
We respectfully ask the public's help in locating this missing juvenile."
