Police Vehicle Seriously Damaged In Crash: Groton Police

GROTON, CT — Police said a police vehicle and another car were involved in a crash on Fort Hill Road Friday.

Police said the officer is recovering at home and that the cruiser sustained serious damage, as did the other vehicle involved in the crash.

"Let this be a reminder to pay special attention when traveling eastbound on Fort Hill Road during the morning commute, as the sun can present a hazard for drivers," police said.

No other details have been released.
