GROTON, CT — Groton police are taking part in national Prescription Drug Take Back Day, allowing the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

The event will be Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City of Groton Police Department at 295 Meridian St.
