Road Closures Anticipated In Groton Due To Presidential Visit

Police are advising residents on changes to traffic patterns as President Donald Trump will speak at the U.S. Coast Guard ceremony.

GROTON, CT — There will be temporary road closures in Groton on Wednesday due to President Donald Trump speaking at the U.S. Coast Guard graduation.

City of Groton police said the following roads may be affected between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.: Poquonnock Road, Rainville Avenue and Clarence B Sharp Highway.

When a road is closed by an officer, no traffic other than emergency vehicles will be allowed to move.
