Robbery Suspect Traced to Michigan by Groton Police Using Fingerprint: Report

The suspect had allegedly walked into the store and wrote a threatening note on a clipboard.

GROTON, CT - Police were able to trace a robbery suspect to Michigan earlier this month by using fingerprints, The Day reported.

Jeremy E. Goodale is charged with armed robbery of the Walmart on Gold Star Highway on July 19, 2015, according to The Day. He had allegedly walked into the store and wrote a note on a store clipboard that he had a gun and demanded the money from the register.

Police were able to get an impression of the suspect’s ring finger, from which they pulled a fingerprint and entered it into a national database, The Day reported. Officers learned he had been visiting friends in Groton at the time of the robbery.
