Settlement Reached With Groton Bar In Wrongful Death Suit: Report
A settlement has been reached between a Groton bar and the mother of a man shot there in 2016, according to a report.
GROTON, CT — The mother of a man shot and killed at a Groton bar will receive $300,000 in a settlement, according to The New London Day. Joey Gingerella, 24, was fatally shot while trying to break up a fight at Ryan's Bar on Feb. 21, 2016.
Gingerella's mother filed a wrongful death suit in 2018, alleging that the bar carried some responsibility in her son's death.
