State Police Escort Family Over Groton Bridge, A Gaggle's Worth
Rush hour traffic on the Gold Star Bridge can be tricky to navigate, especially with kids in tow. CSP Troop E lends a hand.

GROTON, CT—Ever been struck on the Gold Star Bridge in traffic, or worse, with car trouble? This family was having a hard time making across the iconic bridge over the Thames. To the rescue, Connecticut State Police Troop E!
"It’s widely known that Troopers encounter all kinds of things on a daily basis. Our jobs can go from extraordinarily stressful to extraordinarily calm and that may just be in the first hour of our day! The following video clip is NOT a typical day at the office for us, but it is pretty extraordinary all the same. It shows that sometimes our Troopers just have to ‘wing’ it.
On June 6th two Connecticut Troopers, Tpr DeGaetano and Tpr McGregor from Troop E in Montville escorted this family of Canada Geese over the Goldstar Bridge in Groton during peak rush hour traffic.

In case you were wondering, there was no ‘fowl’ play here. This fuzzy family of five all waddled to safety into Groton and off the highway where this trooper mission was complete.
